Our wines are drawn from some of the Cape’s most expressive vineyards — soils older than Burgundy, shaped by two oceans and three centuries of vine. Yet Talangi’s soul is rooted further north, in Limpopo — birthplace of our founder, Joseph Maluleke, and homeland of the Tsonga people whose word for rare is the name this Maison carries.
From this duality, everything follows: winemaking of uncommon precision. An African narrative that needs no translation. A private cellar built on discipline, not scale.
We do not bottle every vintage.
Talangi’s discipline is simple: only barrels that meet our exacting standards enter the Private Cellar. Some releases are a single barrel. The Grand Vin — our flagship Bordeaux-style blend — is individually numbered. No bottle is released until the wine is ready. Scarcity is not a strategy at Talangi. It is a consequence of the standards we will not lower.
